This fine art print features hand painted lettering (Normal People Scare Me) which was drawn and painted by Joby Carter in his UK workshop using traditional signwriting techniques. There are no computers or modern shortcuts used in Joby’s signwriting workshop.
Once complete, the artwork was then professionally scanned and then giclee printed on museum grade fine art paper (310 GSM) using lightfast inks, ready for you to display on your walls at home. This print would make an ideal addition to a gallery wall feature.

The lettering is a vintage lettering style which Joby describes as ‘Curveside’ in his book Signwriting Tips Tricks and Inspiration. This style of lettering was popular with signwriters in the 19th century as the twists and flourish of the brush enables the letter shapes to form naturally during the painting process. Joby has added a block and shadow and decorative elements on the letters for additional charm.

This print is created from a scan of a hand painted original and it has not been digitally airbrushed. You may see minor imperfections from the paint brush or varnish which are part of the authentic charm of handpainted lettering.
The overall paper size is 10 inches x 10 inches and it will fit in standard sized frames available from High Street shops.
