Try Your Luck – Original Painted Sign
‘Try Your Luck’ this hand-painted sign, was inspired by Jobys days at Carters Steam Fair.
Painted on an aluminium composite board with sculpted corners, the lettering is painted in a Paybox Green colour in Curveside font, which you can find in Joby’s All the Fonts of the Fair book. Inside the letters you’ll spot playful drops and dots, plus a bold Bright Red block with a darker shade underneath the letters to give added impact! It’s a colourful sign with a Carters Cream outline and an Oxford Ochre background with a final Bright Red line around the very outside. Joby then aged this sign to give it character and make it look slightly distressed.
Sign measures 40 x 28cm. It is a general release piece of artwork, there may be imperfections from the paint brush or varnish which are part of the true charm of hand painted lettering.
