MUM – Original Painted Sign
A proper little celebration of one of the most important words of all – MUM.
This MUM sign is hand-painted by Joby using the beautifully expressive Tuscan Curevside style of lettering. It’s full of character serves and classic fairground charm. The letters are painted in French Blue, sitting proudly on an Octopus Blue stepped away clock that lifts the work from the panel withe depth and movement, finished with crisp highlights.
Look a little closer and you’ll spot the extra flourishes that make traditional signwriting so special. With dots and drops in Dodgem Blue, carefully brushed in to add rhythm and detail, Joby has even added some hearts which demonstrate a bit of his playful showmanship.
All of this sits on a yellow aluminium composite board and is framed with a lively Bright Red border, given the whole piece that inimitable fairground feel.
Painted entirely by hand, it’s a joyful, characterful piece that makes a brilliant gift for the person who have always been there. Perfect for Mother’s Day!
