BELLEND – Original Painted Sign
Cheeky, bold and unapologetically daft, this hand painted Bellend sign doesn’t mess about. Lettered in Curveside, it’s playful, bouncy and full of character – exactly the sort of word that deserves to be painted properly.
Joby has always enjoyed painting the naughtier end of the word spectrum, and judging by how quickly they tend to find homes, his customers enjoy buying them just as much. There’s something very satisfying about taking a silly word and giving it the full signwriting treatment.
The lettering features classic dots and dro[s, finished with a stepped away block that gives the word depth and lively sense of movement. The colours are bright and confident, with each layer carefully painted by hand to keep everything crisp while still showing the energy of the brush,
Painted on Aluminium composite board, the sign has a smooth, durable finish while keeping that unmistakable hand made feel. AS with all of Joby’s work, no two are exactly alike so expect small variations and brush marks that all add to part of the charm.
