Large Lining Brushes
An essential part of any signwriters toolbox is a good set of lining brushes. Being able to paint lines freehand without the use of tape is a skill which broadens your decorative style. Hand painted lines are often used to embellish hand painted lettering designs to create standout or to create authentic designs in keeping with traditional styles of decoration.
Custom made in the UK to Joby’s specification with shorter handles for easier handling, this set of four large English liner brushes are made from ox hair with synthetic quills.
The brush sizes are 9, 7, 10 and 11. The bigger the number, the bigger the width of the line you can create with them.
If you want to create smaller width lines, Joby also has brushes in a set featuring size 1, 3, 4 and 6 available.

Looking after your brushes
We recommend using brush grease after thoroughly cleaning your brushes to make your brushes last longer and keep them in top condition for when you next need them.
