As Christmas whizzes towards us, we thought we’d do a round up with key dates for you to know if you are planning to buy a gift from the Joby Carter website which you’d like to receive in time for Christmas.
Every year there are different postage deadlines and order cut off points, depending on where in the world you live, but this year there is a special update regarding international shipping to EU countries and Northern Ireland, we’ve included more on that below.

Joby Carter Christmas 2024 last order dates
We ship all our mail using tracked Royal Mail services so we have included details of their last post dates.
Order cut off points for UK orders from Joby Carter
All our UK orders are sent via Tracked48 services and Royal Mail have stated that the last post date for this service will be Friday 20th December 2024.
If you are ordering from us and you’d like it to arrive before Christmas, make sure to place your order by noon on Friday 20th December to allow us time to process your order and get it in the post. We should stress that this is the absolute last time to order, and you’ll be much safer ordering earlier in the week as this gives you a buffer in case Royal Mail have any delays.
No shipping to the EU after 13 December due to EU GPSR Update
From December 13th 2024, the European Union’s new General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) comes into play and unfortunately, it’s going to impact us here at Joby Carter. The GPSR affects us sending goods to you if you live in the EU and or Northern Ireland.
From Wednesday 11 December we will be turning off the option to have your goods delivered to the EU and NI on both our website and our Etsy store, with the hope of turning it back on in early 2025. We can process an order to the EU or NI until midnight on Tuesday 10 December, but we advise ordering ahead of this so we can dispatch as soon as possible. We do not yet know if there will be any delays from Royal Mail or customs when these new regulations begin. The closer to the deadline we get, the riskier things could get as don’t know if your goods will be refused and returned. Please be assured that if this were to happen, we would of course give you a full refund.
Order cut off points for International orders
We use International Tracked services for any mail that is sent outside of the UK. Royal Mail have stated the following last post dates.
Remember to place your order by midnight the day before these dates.

Shop in person in Wells in Joby Carter’s pop up shop
Don’t forget that this year we also have Joby’s pop-up shop open in Wells which will open until Christmas Eve. You can visit in person and shop a wide range of hand painted items. if Joby is in the shop he is happy to sign copies of his book which makes an extra special gift.
