No AI Slop - Original Painted Sign

NO AI SLOP is a celebration of doing things properly - by hand, with a brush, and with plenty of individuality along the way.

There's no name for the lettering style used here because Joby simply made it up. The central AI uses a straightforward block letter, while the surrounding letters have their own hand-drawn character. Painted in blue with a lighter blue stepped-away block, the lettering has plenty of depth beneath the textured finish.

The sign originally had a cream background, but Joby decided that wasn't quite interesting enough. So, in true Joby fashion, he went over the top with a pink flamboyant paint effect, rag-rolling the surface to create the wonderfully irregular texture.

For Joby, traditional signwriting is about the hand of the maker being visible in the finished piece. The little differences, decisions and imperfections are all part of what makes an original piece of artwork original, something this sign celebrates rather loudly!

Hand-painted on aluminium composite and measuring approximately 50 x 15 cm, this is a genuine one-off from Joby's workshop and a fitting piece for anyone who believes creativity is best with a human behind it.
