Description

KEYBOARD WARRIOR is a bit of fun at the expense of those brave souls doing battle from behind their screens.

The lettering is completely made up by Joby, painted in blue with a deliberately top-heavy, superhero-inspired feel. As the letters grow and move across the sign, there's something slightly comic about them. Rather fitting for the keyboard warriors who might think they're saving the world from the comfort of their sofa!

The stepped-away block uses various shades of red through to maroon, with little white highlights adding depth and detail. Five hand-painted stars complete the superhero theme, with flashes of white giving them a sense of movement.

Behind it all is an unusual textured background created with a mixture of marbling and stippling effects. Joby isn't entirely sure how he achieved it now, which is probably a good indication that it won't be repeated! The result is a wonderfully varied surface full of colour and texture.

Hand-painted on aluminium composite and measuring approximately 40 cm in diameter, it's a playful piece for anyone who enjoys a bit of gentle mickey-taking. Know a Keyboard Warrior? You may have just found the perfect present.
Additional details

Painted by hand using traditional signwriting techniques, every sign carries the subtle brush marks and individual character that come with genuine hand-painted work. No two are ever quite the same – you’re buying a real piece of Joby Carter’s signwriting, not a digitally produced reproduction.
